Where Do We Go (2024)
“The horizon is not a boundary; it’s an invitation. Sometimes, the most important question is not where we are going, but how much light we are willing to carry with us on the journey.”
The Luminous Path: This 70 x 100 cm minimalistic contemporary painting is a breath of fresh air. It presents a quiet, reflective landscape where the dominant, vibrant turquoise sky meets a grounded, earthy horizon. By applying the Blinkered method, I have transformed a traditional view into a simplified, poetic abstraction, focusing on the positive energy found in the transition between land and atmosphere.
The Musical Cipher: The title Where Do We Go is a core entry in my "sonic diary." It echoes the melodic curiosity of a specific track that filled the studio—a sound that is both questioning and uplifting. I invite the collector to seek the auditory frequency hidden within these bright, pulsating blues; only when the music’s rhythm matches the horizontal flow of the paint is the true synergy of this journey unlocked.
Positive Stillness: Executed on premium linen, the painting’s surface is a study in clarity. Using unconventional DIY tools like sponges and rags, I’ve built a "kaleidoscopic" depth of color that feels airy yet substantial. This work serves as a meditative window for modern interiors, offering a sense of peace and a "positive melancholia" that encourages the viewer to pause and dream.
