This painting was inspired by the water lilies growing in the park near my studio in Madrid, a place I often visit to observe the shimmering reflections, soft light, and tranquil movement of the water.
In this work, I sought to capture the serene atmosphere of the pond — drifting leaves, luminous reflections, and the quiet harmony found in these simple moments in nature. Created from direct observation and later developed in the studio, the piece combines spontaneous impressions with a contemplative mood.
