I created this watercolor en plein air in Segovia, painting directly from life. I was captivated by the grandeur of the Alcázar, an impressive 12th-century fortress that has dominated the skyline for generations.

This viewpoint is one of my favorites, with its vivid green meadow remaining lush even at the height of summer, forming a striking contrast with the fortress’s sunlit stone walls. Through this painting, I wanted to convey the timeless spirit, quiet majesty, and lasting beauty of this extraordinary place.
