I painted this watercolor en plein air in Segovia, working directly from life on a warm summer evening. I wanted to capture the magical final moments of sunlight as golden rays illuminated the city’s timeless architecture, filling the ancient stone with a rich, luminous glow.

The striking contrast between the glowing buildings and the cool violet sky created a peaceful atmosphere that disappeared within minutes. Through this painting, I sought to preserve not only this fleeting spectacle of light, but also the quiet sense of wonder it awakened.
