just before we were all locked down due to covid, I was lucky enough to visit the Hashemite kingdom of Jordan. It was there that I realised my love for deserts...the most wonderful of them all for me is Wadi Rum. The sheer apparent emptiness and silence, unsullied by man (or so it seemed) was captivating. The history of events that took place here is equally fascinating. T.E. Lawrence in his endeavours knew it well and I walked in his footsteps throughout Jordan...what a privilege. The colours of the sand and rocks set against the blue, blue sky, made my fingers itch ..and we managed to encounter a sandstorm. Thrilling! This painting has bound edges and is ready to hang or can be framed. I include a certificate of authenticity.
