Red Dwarf — Voyeur
In Voyeur, the distant observer comes uncomfortably close.
The red dwarf no longer feels neutral. It seems to peer into the space rather than simply exist within it. Acid greens, heated yellows and burnt reds create an atmosphere of oppressive warmth — air that feels dense, still and difficult to escape.
The painting is built around the discomfort of unwanted attention: the subtle difference between being observed and being watched. Heat becomes part of that sensation, turning the surrounding space into something intimate, intrusive and almost claustrophobic.
