Painting in contemporary figurative style representing the imaginary portrait of Rinaldo Franci (1852 - 1907), composer and exceptional concert violinist. We know of his violin tours in Europe (1886), Argentina (1887) and the United States, as well as of his continuous collaboration with the Sienese theaters. One of his recitals in particular was so successful that it made Franci a sort of civic idol, so much so that it aroused the admiration even of Pietro Mascagni.
