As our world changed & the Covid 19 pandemic altered all of our lives, I found myself painting from a deeply intuitive space, letting the painting develop in its own way rather than having a fixed idea of how it would look.

Stay together, my Magnolia Flower Painting, created thoughts about how this time has united us all, whatever gender, age, race or perceived class. We truly are one race together experiencing the changes & fears, isolation & courage while our lives change beyond recognition.

Yet this time has also brought many positives, an opportunity to go inwards, to slow the pace of life & explore deeper inner learning. To be patient & loving to those with us & to appreciate & miss those we are separated from.

The painting of two Magnolias with their petals intermingling brought thoughts of how being together through this crisis makes us stronger & gives us the chance to find new kinder & more tolerant ways of being together.

Painted in Oils in canvas with a background of 23carat gold leaf muted with transparent resin glazes the painting carries with it a sense of peace & acceptance with hope for the future
