Three Curious Blackbirds (2026) Linocut by Alison Headley

There is something so magical about blackbirds, I always get so excited when I see them hiding shyly behind bushes or tree branches. And unfortunately it seems their numbers are dwindling and it’s become a very rare and special occurrence if I do get a sighting of one at all now.
It was originally made some years ago for a commission piece, but has been so popular that each edition sold out. So I decided to make this third and more petite in dimension edition, with a whole range of different subtle colours.
This will be a very limited edition of 25 variable prints, of which I am hand pressing presently, this one is a beautiful mushroom colour. There will be others on the way, but as the edition is still ongoing you have an opportunity to request a colour if you’d like to commission me.
