"The Silence Between Clouds," went through a real journey of transformation.
It began as a plein air study in the vast, untamed wilderness of Montana — a place where nature is so powerful that you suddenly feel like nothing more than a speck of dust in the universe.
That feeling of oneness with something immense and inexplicable is impossible to forget, and impossible to put into words. Only a brush can carry it.
Later, back in the studio, I continued the work in oil — but somewhere along the way, something slipped away. The sense of Montana's boundlessness and power vanished, along with the scent of grass and the wind.
I repainted this piece five times.

It was only on the fifth attempt that I finally recovered that same feeling — the one I had felt standing in the middle of that wild land.
