- The Elbe in the evening
Original artwork description
I saw that soft yellow sky with its delicate blue-gray clouds above the river and knew immediately that I wanted to paint it. The small painting depicts the view from the Neumühlen landing stage across the Elbe River towards the North Sea. On the left, you can see a historic lightship and part of the museum harbor's landing stage. The sky and its reflection on the water are the defining elements of this painting. In this work, I have captured the quiet magic of evening light on the Elbe. I wanted to portray the balance between nature and humanity and invite you to experience this dreamlike atmosphere in your own home.
