I wanted to capture the feeling of walking through a landscape where nature is full of colour and energy. Instead of reproducing the scene realistically, I used simplified forms, expressive marks and an intense palette of greens, turquoise, blues, violet, pink and yellow. The strong contrasts give the landscape a lively, almost dreamlike quality.

The winding path creates a sense of movement and invites the eye deeper into the image, while the surrounding vegetation creates layers of colour and texture. Flowers and wild plants along the edges of the path add small accents of pink, purple and yellow against the dominant greens.

The work is created as a contemporary digital artwork and reproduced as a high-quality giclée print on canvas. Giclée printing allows the rich colours, subtle tonal variations and expressive details of the original digital image to be reproduced with excellent clarity and depth.

The painting is inspired by the simple pleasure of being outdoors — following a path, surrounded by greenery and flowers, with no particular destination in mind. It is a celebration of colour, nature and the feeling of freedom that comes with a walk through the countryside.
