I find it fascinating how sometimes the solid form can mingle with the surrounding area, making it difficult to see where one ends and the other begins. It often happens when I find myself trying to distinguish one object from another in darker corners and I love to create a painterly effect of there being something there but not quite.
Here, the girls are so much a part of their surroundings, they have taken on the ethereal quality of the clouds and are almost transparent.
Painted all around the edges of a high quality, fine cotton canvas (20x20ins) "Sugar and Spice" is part of my minimal palette series.
