Strata of Light (2026) Original Oil Painting by Alison Johnson

Strata of Light

Oil acrylic and textures on canvas, can be framed atb an additional cost, gallery wrapped

£750

Strata of Light explores the layers held within an ancient landscape. Ochre earth, weathered stone and charcoal markings gather beneath a pale seam of light, suggesting strata slowly revealed by erosion and time.

Raw textures and softened edges create a sense of movement across the surface—as though the land is shifting, exposing fragments of its history before quietly settling again.
