In my drawings, especially drawings of plants, flowers and trees, I explore endless variations of rhythms and shapes. To emphasize characteristic rhythm, I like to place them into cut-out compositions in which they vary from image to pattern or offer close look to inner spaces.
This is a big drawing, created with tinted charcoal and a blue pastel pencil on a beautiful Fabriano smooth paper. It is a cut-out composition from my photo of snowy branches.
