Snowdon Panorama, Yr Wyddfa (2024) Original Oil Painting by Mary Kemp

Snowdon Panorama, Yr Wyddfa

This is a really huge subject for a landscape painting, the big Snowdon landscape, monumental and challenging.
But how uplifting it was to see.
I first set eyes on it on a clear cold morning. And then the day turned warm as we toiled up the slopes. An unforgettable day that has sparked a whole series of paintings.
I use big, bold brushstrokes and lots of paint to do justice to this amazing scene.

Impressionistic oil painting on a stretched canvas. The design is carried over the sides so it looks good on the wall unframed.
Strung on the back so ready to hang.

Size: 100cm x 50 cm x 1.7 cm. One of my bigger pieces.
