Original artwork description
There is a quiet moment just before winter takes hold—the first snow beginning to settle across the marsh, softening the landscape and transforming the familiar into something almost dreamlike.
In 'Snow Coming to the Marsh', I explored that transition through layers of pale light, deep blue-green water and expressive marks that suggest grasses, trees and reflections.
I wanted to capture the stillness of that first snowfall, when the landscape seems to pause between seasons.
