Original artwork description
My new mixed-media painting that is dedicated to the Sirin.
First of all this artwork is very special for me, it's from my new Birds&Berries series.
It's unique and sophisticated.
The Sirin is, according to Russian mythos and folklore, a woman-headed bird. It makes amazingly beautiful sounds, and those who hear these sounds forget everything they know and want nothing more ever again. The Sirin lays her eggs on a beach and then rolls them into the sea. When the Sirin's eggs hatch, a thunderstorm sets in and the sea becomes so rough that it becomes impossible to traverse. She is also the sister of other birds from Slavic mythology, such as Rarog and Stratim.
I created this artwork using acrylic paint, graphic tools and markers on a cardboard.
This artwork is framed in a black wooden frame and ready to hang!
It looks beautiful in the interior.
