This work is about Russia's war against Ukraine. I did this work when my city was heavily bombed by the Russians and I was hiding in a bomb shelter. This work was done with a ballpoint pen on office paper А3. I deliberately use the simplest and most non-artistic materials. I want to emphasize the lightness, simplicity, accessibility and illusion of contemporary art.
The work appears as an aggressively structured fragment of a system, where text, symbols and flowing lines merge into a single mechanism. The central form resembles simultaneously a mask, a diagram and the silhouette of a creature: the two red circles can be interpreted as eyes or connection points. There is a sense that the subject here is not autonomous, but assembled from streams, stitched together by algorithms, and constantly being rewritten.
The picture must be expanded and placed in a graphic frame. This can be easily done by yourself or in any baguette studio.
