Release (2014) Original Acrylic Painting by Donna Daniels

A cherished autumn memory is standing beneath the gingko tree as the golden leaves drop in a flurry. These ancient and magnificent trees are unlike any other with their fan shaped leaves that will all fall within a period of a few hours. This painting depicts the tumbling leaves of a gingko on a fall day, after the first killing frost. The tree releases the leaves that drift down and touch the earth with a sound like drops of rain. Soon the ground at the base of the tree will be covered with a golden blanket of leaves. Acrylic on canvas with gloss finish.
