Quiet Turquoise Horizon is an expressive contemporary seascape from my Turquoise Collection, inspired by the ever-changing colours, light and shapes of the coast.

Rich turquoise and blue tones contrast with the soft, pale water and a delicate sky of blush pinks, lilacs and blue-grey. The simplified forms of the land create a sense of looking out across a tranquil coastal inlet, inviting the viewer to pause and escape into the landscape.

I use layers of oil paint, texture and gestural marks to create depth and movement, while keeping the overall feeling calm and spacious. The turquoise tones are particularly important to me, capturing that fleeting moment when sunlight transforms the sea into something almost luminous.
