Portrait of writer and Booker prize winner Berardine Evaristo.
I painted this portrait back during lockdown when Bernardine posed on screen to allow artists to paint her. She chatted about her fascinating life and career so it made for an interesting background which helped a lot to create a likeness.
Drawn with charcoal and painted in thin layers of acrylic.
