Original artwork description
Painted on-site in my neighborhood in Minneapolis. Features a row of pink shrubs in full autumn color, making a sweeping arc in the landscape. Some of the last to lose their leaves, these shrubs have small, delicate leaves in shades of light pink, rose, and light olive green, which are rendered with a palette knife. They are set against a background of dramatic bared winter branches and an evergreen tree.
The ability of the casein paint to produce a running, flowing look adds additional textural contrast and drama to the scene.
Painted in oil over casein paint with both palette knife and brush. Comes framed in a 3" wide wood frame with a brown finish and a gold inner edge.
