Handcrafted sculpture on Lecce stone, designed and created by artist Andrea Serra. The illuminating sculpture "Butterfly Petals" recalls two wings in flight: soft shapes that, through the interplay of light and dark, evoke the experience of a spring dawn, when the colors of the sun, in transparency, delicately illuminate the surfaces.
Illuminated by an LED strip of warm white light inside it (color tone can be changed on request)
This work is entirely done by hand on this stone which is found only in a very few areas of southern Italy, namely in lower Salento in the province of Lecce. This particular stone of marine origin, rich in plant and animal fossils dating back several million years, makes it suitable for processing details.
The illuminating sculpture Petali di Farfalla, like every work by Andrea Serra, being hand-carved, is unique and signed in engraving by the artist.
