Сow. Twilight Time. (2025) Original Acrylic Painting by Artem Andreichuk

Painted from memory and based on a photograph I captured in the village of Protsiv near Kyiv—where my country house is located—this piece explores the quiet, enigmatic mystery of twilight.

The cow is a recurring leitmotif in my artistic practice, serving here as a calm, grounding presence dissolved into the evening landscape. Bathed in cool, nocturnal shades of turquoise, deep indigo, and forest green, the animal blends into the dense thickets and wild grass beneath a gentle crescent moon. Expressive textural strokes and scratch marks evoke the tangible presence of nighttime nature, capturing a fleeting moment of solitude and country silence.
