Original artwork description
This contemporary painting has a background in several layers of acrylic paint applied with various techniques. It is also inlayed with gold leaf which shines in the light, adding more depth and interest to the composition. The birds are painted in oils with fine brushes and each has a character of its own.
These are typical UK garden birds. The goldfinch, greenfinch, robin, two sparrows and a little wren which is sadly on the endangered birds list. We need to look after our wildlife and our birds' habitat if we wish to continue witnessing the joyous sight of birds in flight.
The canvas is white on the edges for a contemporary look. Signed and titled on the back and ready to hang.
