Original artwork description:

I love hands, they usually manage to feature in my work somewhere.

These hands belong to a husband and wife pair of metalwork artists. They work hard, it's hefty dirty work so their hands are always covered in lacquer, sometimes cuts, splinters and bruises.

Mrs of the team hates that she doesn't have manicured hands, but I think it's great, they are busy artists and their hands reflect that.

They are a real team, working together all day, every day, united in their craft. Mr's hands clasp Mrs's daintier version.
