This is the second of two paintings I made after a photo shoot with Olivia, one of my models. I took the picture while she was relaxing on her sofa: that’s why she looks so natural. The colour palette is similar to the one used for painting “Olivia”, just a little brighter and easy, reflecting the situation in which the sample photo was made. The style is more gestural, too, making the spectator feel confortable while looking at this fresh, genuine work.
“Olivia in her living room” is an early painting of my collection, dated 2014. It is painted on hand-primed linen with first quality oil colours.
