Noah stands tall in a red cloak with his shepherd staff, a white dove perched on his raised hand, while his family gathers behind him and an elephant, a golden ram and a striped tiger wait nearby. Meliq Khazaryan tells the biblical story in bold, faceted, cubist-inspired forms and a joyful palette of crimson, magenta, violet and sky blue. A snowy blue peak at the right recalls Mount Ararat, the legendary resting place of the ark. Rich, expressive and full of symbolism, this oil painting brings hope, peace and Armenian spirit to a living room, gallery wall or office. A fine gift for collectors.
