Original artwork description
The container ships in Hamburg move ponderously on the Elbe. Like dinosaurs and yet highly modern. The proportions seem somehow out of sync, yet the houses on the shore in Blankenese seem so small. I am fascinated by these almost deserted giants and can watch them for hours from the shore!
The motif is continued at the edges so that the picture can be hung without additional framing.
