'No Man's Land' is another painting in the series depicting home life during the world wars. More often it was women who were home alone and although surrounded by a familiar environment and personal belongings, they too were in a kind of no man's land - they had no way of knowing how long the war would last or if or when their men would return home. At first glance the painting looks to be an attractive scene but if you look closely in the foreground are the now familiar silhouettes of soldiers in no man's land.

Brush, palette knife and roller have been used to apply the paint, creating an evocative yet contemporary painting. There is a whisper of texture to some areas too and a touch of gold leaf.

Please note that the in-situ home interior image is NOT to scale

The sides of the painting are left white so it can be hung as it is but also suitable for framing if you prefer.
