When an Artist paint an artwork, we put a piece of ourselves out there, into the painting. This artwork was inspired by my visit to Royal Botanic Garden in Cranbourne. I was drawn immediately to one of my favourite Gum trees- Corymbia Ficifolia (Baby Orange) in the harvest season. This particular tree is the main reason that I always come back to the Royal Botanic Garden in different seasons.
Gumnut stands for healing and protection. The term eucalypt originally meaning well (eu) covered (calyptos). In this particular artwork, it has all the beautiful, plump gum nuts decorated all over the gum tree. A real feast for the eyes and a harvest for the soul.

The flower always blooms in its own time without competing with others. May we all bloom in our time in the best season. Hope you enjoy this artwork of mine.
