This artwork is a mixed media painting on 59.4 x 84.1 cm cartridge paper. It is being sold without a frame. It is currently not framed. It has been sprayed with a fixative and ready for framing.

The paper was primed with acrylic gesso before I started the painting. I then put down layers of acrylic wash followed by mark making using charcoal and conte pastels. A collage of torn sketchbook papers were added closer to the final stage.

This painting was inspired by sketchbook plein air drawings of places that inspired me. I deliberately painted this loosely and expressively like I would usually do with a sketchbook.
