Magpies in this painting live up to their reputation as both tricksters and guardians. They are clever, curious, and theatrical, where each bird seems caught in its own story as well as a collective tale in which they are greedily fighting over some unusual mushrooms they found.
This is a large painting at 84x59cm and is presently unframed. It has been executed in acrylic inks on 140lb cold pressed watercolour paper
