Original artwork description:

In this piece, I aimed to capture the reflections, below a summer evening sky. The serenity and peace I feel, as I gaze across the calm waters - The sunlight bleeding through the trees, pours light across the lake.
I study the skies over North Wales and also the Cheshire hills, close to my home.
My paintings are often inspired by my love and fascination with ever-changing skies and cloud formation. I try to capture the movement and mood of the skies and sea - Calm and dreamy, to dramatic and surreal.
The sky's layers and ripples in the water, are developed by forming texture through layering and blending the paint, building depth, movement and highlights.
