A mirage before me,
Goldenest,
Amber and earthy hues,
Glowing all around me.
Words and expression of a Winter Sunset reflecting over Wincombe lake just over the border of North Dorset into Wiltshire.
Original expressive watercolour on high quality watercolour paper bockingford 425 gsm 200 lb.
I used a wet on wet technique using a delicate build up of back washes making sure the paper is wet before applying the paint. Allowing the colours to merge on the paper using a Chinese hake and moving the painting by tipping horizontal then lying it flat.

Extra rough textured watercolour paper bockingford 425 gsm 200 lb, Windsor and Newton professional watercolours, Chinese hake, filbert brush, sable hair brush,
