I created this beige violet abstract painting as an exploration of contrast between softness and depth — where light tones meet darker, grounded layers.
Working with acrylic on canvas, I built the composition through layered textures using palette knife and expressive brushwork. Soft beige, ivory, and warm sand tones open the upper space, while muted violet and earthy brown shades create a rich, grounded base. Dark accents of charcoal and black introduce structure, while lighter areas add openness and flow.
The central vertical and horizontal elements form a subtle structure that organizes the composition, creating a sense of connection between the different areas. The textured surface adds dimension and movement, allowing the painting to change with light and reveal new nuances throughout the day.
