Original artwork description
Signature piece from the Migration collection. One of a kind.
=======
More striking than ever with watercolour on finest artist quality rowney canvas. Background finished with oil oaints and liquin. Planes finished with acrylic and Matte gel so no yellowing expected over time. Colours will be preserved as crisp as the day it's painted .
The Migration series is part of the growing signature collection which naturally evolved from my fascination with Japanese culture and symbolism of Origami.
In those series I am looking to create this all familiar feeling of weightless fall associated with flying in our dreams aiding to recconect a viewer with his childhood memmories.
I also like the sense of multi dimensional perspective that the image of paper planes invites you into. The motion in stagnation. The freedom restrained with thin watercolour threads (drips) stitching the canvas throughout and in a strange way preserving the order in this chaotic formation.
