This work depicts a mother teapot robot riding a honeybee on her way to find a wild rose. The character is reinterpreted from Johannes Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring and incorporated into my “Meet” series.
By combining a familiar image from art history with my own characters, I wanted to create a fairy-tale-like moment where nature, family, and memory come together. The encounter between the wild rose, honeybee, and mother teapot robot expresses a warm meeting between nature and cherished memories.
