Early childhood (2019) Photograph by Sarah Bouillaud

£431

The “Odissea” project began in 2016, a few months before my son was born. Driven by the feeling of experiencing something both very ordinary and extraordinary at the same time—something I wanted to share and pass on—“Odissea” was born. This work begins with the microcosm of family, an intimate and personal experience, and expands into a universal concept: to recount, in my own way, the childhood that slips away from our memories, through a photo album of my family that blurs the lines between reality and imagination.
From the very beginning, I’ve wanted to make this project a place to return to regularly—a parallel world where childhood is eternal.
My project “Odissea” has been exhibited at the Phémina Festival, the Little Big Galerie, and Polka Factory. Part of it was also screened at the Voies Off Festival in Arles.
A book will be published by Editions Revelatœr in December 2024.
