Madonna with Rabbits (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Antonina Bormova

132 x 120 x 0.1cm / 120 x 110cm (actual image size)

£1,260.42

Visible image size: 110 × 120 cm (43.3 × 47.2 in). Actual canvas size: 120 × 132 cm (47.2 × 52.0 in). Shipped rolled in a tube, signed on the front and back, with a Certificate of Authenticity included.

At the centre of the composition is a female figure holding a bag of carrots, surrounded by white rabbits. Their numerous silhouettes gradually fill the space, becoming a visual metaphor for the inner multiplication of thoughts, images and perceptions.

The painting explores the continuous movement of consciousness, where individual impulses emerge, repeat and gradually take on a distinct form. The rabbits symbolise this process, while the Madonna figure introduces a sense of contemplation, acceptance and attentiveness to one’s inner world.

The gesture of reaching towards the rabbits suggests a calm engagement with personal thoughts and emotions. A vibrant orange palette, the rhythmic repetition of rabbit silhouettes and the contrast between movement and stillness create an image of an inner state in which multiplicity gradually becomes a conscious part of personal experience.
