Looking out to sea
Standing on the Chesil beach,
The wind so strong,
Sun trying to peer through the clouds,
Jade and earthy turquoise sea,
Sunset time soon.

Words and expression of my experience of a wild and beautiful place to be at the start of the Jurassic coast of Dorset.
Original impressionist watercolour on extra rough, cold pressed, acid free bockingford 425 gsm 200 lb.
I left areas of white, used sporadic washes all over then applied over the light the warm greys and turquoise blues, jade, burnt sienna and crimson, vermillion.
I have family that live on Portland near the Chesil. often spend time here walking the beach, collecting drift wood, so it’s very special unique part of the south coast of England.
