Usually the thing you want most is the one thing you can't have. Desire leaves us heartbroken, it wears us out and can even wreck your life.
This portrait sculpture represents a women longing for an impossible love. Too often this woman changes her personality to try to get that person's attention to the point of losing her own identity. This will sound all too familiar for people who always seem to be chasing things they can't have. It might be a dream job, or it could be a person — either way, when something is out of reach, they want it that much more.
