Kibo means "the mountain" in Swahili and is a reference to Mount Kibo in Tanzania. The little one has his whole life ahead of him before he grows into a mountain himself, unaware of the dangers that await him. He should fear humankind most of all.

This painting is full of energy and expression – I wanted to capture the majestic power and gentleness of the young elephant in a vibrant interplay of colors. With acrylic paints, I celebrated feelings of strength and movement that fill any room with a dynamic, almost electric atmosphere. It is my way of honoring the wild beauty and soul of this impressive animal.
