Original artwork description:

I’m pretty hooked on working with this larger size paper. How to say, I have room to move the paint around, and enjoy the effects that brings.
The larger size and firm surface of the paper has freed me up to better express abstract colour … within the outlines of the subject. But it’s as much about the colour play as it is about the subject. Here it’s the social setting of eating out at these curbside food stalls, in this case in Thailand. The subject is fascinating and interpreting it even more interesting.
The close up pictures are to get a feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting. Then there is the work in progress on my work table. Then there’s me standing next to the painting for perspective.
