Lanterne Veneziane (2024) Original Oil Painting by Antonino Puliafico

"Lanterne Veneziane" is an original oil painting on canvas by Antonino Puliafico, developed around colour, rhythm and material gesture. Measuring 80 × 130 cm and dated 2025, the work balances immediate visual impact with close-range surface detail.

The surface is built through palette knife, creating a tactile dialogue between colour, depth and movement.

Vibrant Gondolas" by Antonino Puliafico brings the energy and color of Venice’s canals right onto the canvas. Through thick layers of oil paint and expressive palette knife strokes, the artist transforms familiar gondola silhouettes into a dynamic tapestry of reflections and light.

Viewed from a distance the composition resolves as a whole; at close range, the viewer encounters the individual marks, ridges and chromatic transitions that animate the surface.

For shipping, the canvas is carefully protected and sent in a heavy-duty tube with tracking, together with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Materials used:

First-rate oil colors of the Florentine brand "DI VOLO" applied with spatula were used for the painting, and the pictorial support is a cottono canvas pre-painted for oil painting with Gesso and Glue.
