In the bluebells
Treading carefully,
Along the deer trail,
Deep in the woods,
At ancient Duncliffe,
I sit on a mossy log and begin to paint expressively.
Words and experience of recently being here in April.
I met up with the sketchy ladies to paint outside in nature. For once, as we always meet on a Monday, it was sunny and perfect as all the bluebells have popped up early this year. I found a tranquil area and was surrounded by bird song whilst creating this scene.
I used water soluble oil pastels to roughly draw out the composition and watercolours paint.
Signed on the front and back of artwork.

Cold pressed watercolour paper Fabriano 300gsm 140lb, filbert brush, sable hair brush, water soluble oil pastels, Windsor and Newton watercolour paint,
