In the mid 1980s I worked on a large series of wood-engravings and lino-prints...
This little print is a wood-engraving created from three separate little square blocks, presented together on Japanese paper, to make up one long image of a woman holding flowers.
Please note that this actual presentation of three is a one-off print; I numbered it as an Artists Proof. Unfortunately I could not edition it because I accidentally burned the lower of the three blocks in a studio tidy up! Sadly I threw it into my open fire with lots of little practise pieces of wood.
(There is one other Artists Proof incorporating these three blocks but it is part of a bigger print of six blocks with a male on the right side)
Hand-printed on Japanese paper and then subtly handcoloured with watercolour.
Titled above the image; dated and signed underneath the image.
Ready to hang...Available simply framed with archival mount, in black wood.
Please email me if you would prefer a simple gold frame.
Please Note: the framed picture is only an example of how it would look; it is not a photo of the actual framed piece.
