Small scale ink and wash drawing based on the landscape of Iceland during a trip in the summer of 2025. Our visit to Iceland gave me more material than I could draw in a year. This piece is from a scene on the island's interior, where the land levels out and the horizon becomes enormous. I was trying to capture that particular stillness without turning it into something decorative. Ink applied using "brushes" made from broom straws and sticks results in marks that are hard to control but create surprising results.
