Original artwork description
My artwork, HUMAN, was inspired by the amazing dance performance I was fortunate to witness two years ago at the Gothenburg Opera, a performance like no other I had seen before. The choreography by Sharon Eyal and Gothenburg Dance Company has achieved such a visual, emotional, structured, and aesthetic unity that touched a chord in me. I was literally in tears. Then and there, I made a promise to myself to try and immortalize the moment in a painting that could transmit the same sense of unity and emotion that I felt. I hope I managed to capture at least a fraction of the powerful energy of the dancers' movement. What could be nobler and more powerful than a group of bodies, vibrating as one? I was in awe and still shiver when I remember that moment.
I feel this kind of unity gives strength and the power to surmount any obstacles on this journey called life. In a roundabout way, I feel the community of artists on Artfinder are such a unity and through the power of creativity, we take a stand for human made creations in the advent of AI.
